Rengma Naga tribe celebrates Ngada Festival

The Rengma Naga tribe celebrated its festival Ngada Festival on November 27 and the 28th. The special guest for the first day of the event was Deputy Commissioner of Tseminyu, Rohit Singh.

Kohima, Nagaland, November 29 (HBTV): The Rengma Naga tribe celebrated its festival Ngada Festival on November 27 and the 28th. The special guest for the first day of the event was Deputy Commissioner of Tseminyu, Rohit Singh.   

The event was followed by inauguration of indigenous games.   

On the second day, the chief host was Jwenga Seb
 chairman of the district planning and development board of Tseminyu; and Kvulo Lorin, chairman of the NIDC as guest of honor. 

in his speech, Jwenga said traditions are now being polluted by western cultures. Traditions should be maintained and the positive practices and rules of the forefathers should be uphold. He urged the people to embrace them to build a positive society.   

Lorin also addressed the event. In his speech, he noted that negativity is everywhere but now it is time to count blessings and remove negativity. Solving problems should be the focus instead of focusing on the problem, the people were told.
